Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas

GM parts no longer available for my truck.

I own a Chevy SSR. The SSR was produced from 2003 to 2006. It was a low volume vehicle. One of the major issues we SSR owners are having is there are no replacement parts for our trucks. Most of our SSR's are still under manufacturer's warranty. Some owners have gotten ''down graded'' parts & others have been told by GM that they have to wait for a vendor to actually reproduce a part & at this time there are no vendors who are up to the challenge. For those whose vehicles are under warranty, I was under the impression that GM was required by some law to maintain an extensive inventory for a period of time after production of that model was discontinued. Anyone know if that is correct? Since ALL warranty issues have a time restriction, i.e. 3 years/ 36,000 miles, every day wasted in waiting depreciates the value of the warranty. Can we force them to extend ALL the vehicle warranties to compensate for their lack of performance and or compensate the masses (all 24,000 of us) for what has been lost? The SSR is great vehicle & it's a shame GM isn't stepping up to the plate.
