Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
Judgement debtor lives in another state
I recently won a small claims case in my state (Iowa) against another person who lives in Texas. I have the cancelled check, which gives his bank name/account number. Can I garnish his bank account through my clerk of court, or do I need to have the judgement entered in Texas, and go through that clerk of court?

You must register the judgment in Texas and then file the garnishment in Texas.
