Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas

Mechanic wont give me my truck back, and I already paid.

In November, I paid Dallas County Auto to install an engine on my work truck. It took them 2weeks after it was only supposed to take them 3 days. Before I could even get the truck home the check engine light came on, so I returned the truck the next day and was told it would be fixed in less than a week.. I have been calling week after week to check the status on my truck and they basically would tell me it will be ready next week. Then finally I called them in Feb and they said that my truck was fixed but they informed me that they backed a forklift into the hood of my truck and the hood wouldnt be in for a week... So I called and they gave me the same run-around telling me to come back next week. So finally I was fed up with them so I went there to see my truck and I saw more damage on my truck that when I brought the truck in. And the check engine light is still on. I called the police and informed them that Iwanted to take my truck home and Dallas County Auto will not let me take my vehical until I sign a statement saying that they comppleted the work.. But they didnt complete the work at all, it's more work that needs to be done now. And Chris at DCA said that he was going to start charging me $25 a day storage fee until I p

Sounds like the facts for a great lawsuit. Surely someone in Dallas could do that for you. Must be 10,000 lawyers in Dallas looking for a good lawsuit. Why don't you start calling some of them? Good Luck.
