Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas

Scam

We contracted with a company & paid them 3900.00. He said the $ would be invested in the foreign currencey market and that we would be paid back our 3900.00 plus interest. When it came time for him to pay us he came up with all kinds of reasons not to.

We filed a suit against him in small claims court and the judge decided against us. We can appeal her decision. Should we ?? The State Securities Board of Tx said what he was doing was illegal.

We made a complaint against him with the B.B.B. he did not respond.

We filed a complaint with the F.B.I.

Re: Scam

A suit for violation of the Texas Blue Skys Law is not something for a pro se party, and definitely not something to take into Small Claims.

If you appeal it, you're going to have to get an attorney to handle the matter for you, and not be in a position to get attorney fees awarded.

At this point, it's an economic decision rather than a legal decision.
