Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas

I had a TV with Aaron's Sales and Lease in Texas. The lease was for one year and it was paid faithfully for that one year! When the last payment came due they came up with more charges on it. I had sold the TV in order to pay off the balance. The charges were for another full year after that. I have kept paying them and here it is this is supposed to be the last payment due on it! However they keep racking up more and more payments somehow. I dont have my original contract as it was destroyed in a house fire. I cant prove anything at all against them and now they have been going to friends houses disclosing information to them about the account as well as my parents house. They call constantly and now are threatening to file charges. They informed my dad last night that if I did not contact them today regarding it then they were calling the police and the next person at the door would be a detective coming to investigate theft. Can they do this? I know the fdcpa protects me against certain things but I really don't know what to do and I can not afford an attorney at all!

You may have a good lawsuit against AAron..and stop paying, pay a lawyer...but you need to at least call a lawyer..good luck
