Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

I got in an accident last year and spent a month in the hospital (not married) and now i want to marry my girlfriend. Will they attack her to collect on the medical bills or will effect her credit? Ive been reading about it and in Texas its a bit different than other states. And out of curiousity, How can I believe your answer? Is there proof I can see?

She's not responsible for your medical bills, under any theory of law.

However, IF you get sued and IF the medical folks get a judgment and IF they execute on non-exempt community property, your wife could suffer loss that way. But she is not personally responsible for your pre-marriage medical bills.
