Answer to Citation/Petition

I have received a citation/petiton from a creditor who wants to sue me for nonpayment. I would like to submit an answer in writing to the court that I have received the petition. What do I need to do?

Re: Answer to Citation/Petition

The citation tells you when you must have a written answer on file with the court. Send a courtesy copy to the attorney for the creditor.

A typical answer is a general denial of the claim. Add whether you are entitled to any offsets or credits that have not been shown in the petition.

just write an answer...deny claim..but if you don't owe it..you may have to swear to denial..before notary...but before you get in a ditch..see a lawyer and save money...
