Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Car repossession

I co-signed on my father's vehicle, which has been repossessed. I'm now being threatened by someone claiming to be a lawyer saying that they can sue me and garnish my wages. I've got my own bills to pay and trying to go back to school. Help please, what can/should I do?

Re: Car repossession

When you co-signed for your father, you promised to pay if he did not. Now is the time. Your wages cannot be garnished, but they can take a judgment against you and just wait until you're ready to pay - all the time accruing interest at about 10%-12% per year. Good Luck.
