I was given a check for services rendered and before I could cash the $7000 check, the Investment Apartments LLC filed for chapter 7 in Tarrant County, Texas. I believe the 2 persons Doan Vohoang and Stacy Thu Tonnu (who are Investment Apartments LLC) have moved to California. Is it possible to persue this in California courts because I believe they still has much money and assests there?

You need to file a proof of claim in the bankruptcy court for the wages owed to you.
