Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

What happens when civil judgement has been placed on someone in Texas? The reason I ask is because I'm looking to buy a house soon and don't know if this judgement will hurt that or not.

The judgment will appear in your credit report and will affect your credit rating. If the judgment creditor executes on it they can reach your non-exempt assets: making your bank accounts vulnerable.
