Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

found person using my idenity

My wallet was stolen when i was in high school and i eventually found out that my ssn and my ID were sold to a guy that lived in wisconsn. recently I had my credit report pulled and found out that this guy is now living in kilgore tx. i've called the PD there and i keep getting the run around. I want to know if i can go up to this man's door ask to see if he's still using my information and if he is can i call the cops on him at that very moment? Technically i'm not tresspassing if the property is in my name and ssn right?

File a report with the FTC and the FBI. Don't go and face him directly since you'll tip him off, and possibly get shot for your efforts.
