Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

My ex husband was awarded a double wide mobile home in our divorce 5 yrs ago.He was suppose to refinance the home to get my name off the contract.Well about 2 months ago I find out he didnt.And now he has filed Bankruptsy on this home.The mortgage comapny never contacted me when he stoped making payments.The next thing I know i get a letter stateing it was abandoned and they were repossesing the home.Now I find out its on my credit report as a repossesion.Is there anything I can do to get this off my credit report?

You write that he was "suppose to refinance the home to get my name off the contract." Was this requirement spelled out in the divorce degree? If so, send a copy of the divorce degree to the creditor and ask that they remove the repo from your credit record. If they're not interested in doing that, then you'll probably need an attorney to get something done for you.
