Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

How long can credit debt stay on your credit report?

I had several credit cards when I was in college that, after I got out of college (and into the real world of $8.00 hr.) I was unable to pay. Some of these debts remain on my credit report despite the fact that the accounts were opened 10 - 13 years ago.

They appear to have been sold to collection agencies with new account opened dates.

When the accounts are written off by the credit card companies, the accounts may have been sold or acquired by collection agencies. However, the dates should not have changed. If you want me to assist you further in this matter, contact me by e-mail or call me a1-877-320-5232.
