Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Repayment of Personal Load

I loaned my daughter and son-in-law $25,500 to consolidate loans. My now ex son-in-law went to prison and is now out. Much of the $25,500 was for legal fees, etc. My daughter has paid me back her portion of this loan. He is not responding to my requests for repayment. This loan was made in Feb of 2006. Do I have any chance in him repaying me thru the court system? If so, how do I proceed?

File a lawsuit against him. You'll probably have to go to county court. Good Luck aganinst a dead-beat son-in-law now out of prison. I'm sure things are looking up for him.
