If the juvenile matter is sealed, they should not necessarily be able to unseal it depending on whether it was felony or not. However, please understand that the prosecutors may be able to see it and they could only use it is in any recommendation for a plea bargain offer in the new cases. As to my advice, you need to hire an attorney that handles criminal cases, not just some friend of the family or just some attorney. BTW: as a former practicing criminal defense attorney from the Harris and Montgomery County area, you have probably gotten 30 pounds of mail, from attorneys advertising. Anybody offering to represent you for $500.00 or they will meet you in court, and you can pay them there is not someone you want to hire to represent you. Two more things you need to know, any conviction for possession of marijuana will effect your driving privileges in Texas, and could also keep you from being able to receive student loans from the federal government if you are planning to go to college or are all ready attending college.
