Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Im 16 in Texas and I was caught in a car with 2 other people.Officer searched the car and found a bag of marijuana and a pipe in pouch behind the seat. The driver was arrested he was 17. The officer searched me and because he found nothing he took me home. He talked to my parents and told the I had no punishments or consequences and that he was taking me home as a courtesy. Then 3 months later the come to my school and give me a ticket for drug paraphernalia. I refused to sign. I pleaded not guilty and jury trial to court. I have to submit pre trial motions soon.
