Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

My brother is on probation in texas for over a year now he has payed off all his fines and is just waiting on an interstate compact to come through (the second he had to file due to his probation officers fault). His p.o. makes him report m-f a 30 mile drive each way each day plus do comunity service sat and sun. Is this legal? and if so how do we get it changed without goin on schedual for a motifacation of probation? Oh ya he cares for both my elderly grandparents too who r in there 80's

I do not understand why he must report each day - it should only be monthly reporting. His lawyer should talk to the judge about this requirement. As to doing community service, he must follow the rules of his probation which probably require a minimum number of hours per month.

He is not entitled to a transfer and it may not go through. The state to which he wants to move must accept him. Until that time, he must comply with all conditions of his probation.
