Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

what are the consequences if I plead guilty?

Animal control called my dog off of my front porch to the street and then took him in and wanted $100 for me to get him back.As I was leaving work I checked my voicemail to find my son,who is 12 and I've had custody of since he was 2,crying saying that two neighbors watched the whole thing.Mad,I headed straight to the animal control office and after a brief conversation I got even more upset and stupidly told them that I was leaving with my dog even if I had to go and get my gun.very stupid I know.what will happen if I plead guilty to this charge, animal control pressed charges against me and I was arrested.

What is the charge? And why plead guilty? I mean, there's no assault here, not even an imminent threat (imminent means you have the present ability to carry it out--w/o a gun in your hands, you didn't). Besides, I bet once a jury heard your tale they'd be offended at the whole situation and might refuse to convict. Remember, that's why we have juries--to tell the our government and its lackies "NO." You've got a sympathetic case and witnesses to back you up. This is the kind of case to fight, not plead.
