Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

I was convicted of a misdemeanor A charge for theft. I recieve deferred adjudication and after my probation, I went back to court and got my records sealed. I ask the district attonery could I get my records expunged, she was rude

and said no because they were already sealed, the case is more than 10 years old. Some jobs do FBI background checks and it turns up. What do I do?

You cannot ever expunge any case for which you received deferred adjudication probation. Your only method of "hidng" your record is nondisclosure - sealing it - and as you are aware it does not hide the record from everyone.

I suggest you explain the situation up front. If an FBI check is conducted, the potential employer WILL find the record.
