Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
MY DAUGHTER WAS ARRESTED FOR NOT TAKING CARE OF A MINOR IN POSSESSION TICKET (WARRANT).
HISTORY: SHE SAYS SHE WENT IN AND DIDN'T HAVE EVERYTHING COMPLETED AS AGREED FOR THE MIP (THE DAY IT WAS DUE) AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD MAIL HER SOMETHING WHICH SHE DIDN'T RECEIVE. RESULT APPARENTLY WAS THAT A WARRANT WAS ISSUED WHICH NO ON WAS AWARE OF. IS SOME KIND OF NOTICE REQUIRED?
ONCE ARRESTED FOR THE MIP WARRANT, THEY SEARCHED HER CAR AND HER PRESCRIPTION MEDICING WAS THERE (NOT IN BOTTLE). tHEY ADDED A FELONY 4 DRUG POSSESSION CHARGE. IS THERE A WAY TO GET THIS TAKEN CARE OF QUICKLY SINCE IT IS EASY TO SHOW SHE HAS A PRESCRIPTION?

Yes - hire a lawyer and provide the lawyer with the pill bottle as well as a printout from the pharmacy. Be aware that it should be a recent prescription.
