Yes it is a valid concern. My experience has been that whether or not it poses a problem depends strongly on the original charge. Also, have prior renewals asked if you were arrested? Or only asked if you were convicted? Hopefully, you did not lie on a prior application, since that would pose a bigger problem. I have had clients with prior deferred adjudications, and were able to renew the license with the appropriate paperwork.

Unfortunately, the Board of Nurse Examiners is one of the few agencies, (23) to be exact, that you cannot hide a deferred adjudication from. Therefore, it is very important that you get a hold of and hire an attorney to represent or help you with this matter, because what you put down as an answer on your application makes all the difference in the world.
