Deferred Ajudification
About 20 years ago, I was convicted of shop lifting. After fulfilling all my obligations to the courts and the state of Texas, I received deferred ajudification . My understanding is that my conviction would be sealed (I was 16). For years it did not come up when my driver's license was run. Now, however, the conviction does show up. This is causing me problems trying to get a job. What can be done? I have been an upstanding citizen for 20 years and need to clear this up.
