Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

I was deliquent on my rent and late fees so my landlord used the contractual lien and property left in apt clause in my lease. I have taken care of the matter and my stuff was returned. As I was sorting through the other stuff that was scattered around I notice my 3 rings were missing along with my daughter's wedding ring...what action can I take?

You can try reporting the incident to police, but you cannot prove who took the rings. You can try suing the person but you have to prove that he took the rings or caused their loss. You can report the loss on your renter's insurance.
