Early release probation, possible appeal conviction?
My husband is on probation for prescription fraud, he was picking up prescrips that a doctor did not write, a friend that worked at doctors called it in. he was given 8 years probation, told he had to plead guilty by his court appointed lawyer, has served 3 yrs and all fines are paid, probation officer told him to hire a lawyer to get off early. this was his first offense and he was not offered deferred adj..,
Is there a way he could still get deferred adjudication?
This is a ''good 'ole boy'' town and we are not ''good 'ole boys'', but maybe you could refer me to a local lawyer? this has totally screwed my husbands career, he is ex-military and had hoped to re-enlist.
Re: Early release probation, possible appeal conviction?
He cannot get deferred at this point. It is too late. With his probation officer's support, he may be able to get early termination.
I do not know any attorneys in your town, however, you can go to the website for the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyer's Association, and ask for a referral.
You can also search this website for an attorney in your area.
