Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

my girlfriend was on federal probation and abconded. then pick up state charge for burlery of a building. she went to federal court first and was given 12 months then the county picked her up from federal costody took her back to court and she given 18 months. she is now in TDC with a release date of 11-15-2012. we just found out that she has a federal hold on her. she has been in costudy since 5-2011. the feds picked her up in nov 2011. can the feds stop her time after she has been sentanced and restart it when she is released from the state?

Yes. She is not "entitled" to credit on both sentences while in the custody of one or the other. It would be like getting a crime free - and the feds don't like that generally. (It would have had to be arranged when she entered her plea on the federal case to get concurrent time.)
