my husband grabbed my cell phone out of my hand last night and forcefully kept it form me against my will. he overpowered me so I could not get it back from him and refused to give it back, and started texting my friends posing as me. a friend told me that was assault. was it?

If your husband had contact with you that caused you pain, that is assault.
Why don't you cancel service on the phone so he cannot text anyone?
