Re: laws in texas

The laws, rules and regulations in the State of Texas are voluminous in nature and spread all over the place. Most statutes, that is "laws" passed by the legislature are separated and contained in books according to specific areas. For example the laws on divorce, custody, adoption, juvenile law, etc., are contained in the Family Code. Other laws are contained in their respective codes: Criminal Code, Business and Commerce Code, Transportation Code, Agriculture Code, Education Code, Insurance Code, Occupations Code, etc., etc. The interpretation of statutes, rules and regulations can be found in published cases by the courts of appeal. Unfortunately, reading and understanding the meaning of most statutes and case law really does require a legal education. That's why we charge the big bucks. Try looking through this internet site for good resources and also sites like findlaw.com. Good luck.
