Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Ohio and Texas

I was raped from the age of 11 & 1/4 until the age of 13 & 3/4.Iam now 14. During the time of the rapes my family moved from to Texas. But the rapes also happened in Ohio not just in Texas .After my step-father left and I came up to Ohio to visit my dad I finaly told him. Charges have been pressed/filed. My step- father has been relesed on bail. But is tring to get the charges droped due to lack of testimonial witness because I am in Ohio and he is in Texas. What can I do/parents do? So that he dosen't get away with what he did to me. I know about the right to face your accuser by the acused.

Re: Ohio and Texas

You have been through enough already, and are only 14. Your parents need to be speaking with the District Attorney's office both in Texas and in Ohio. There are legal methods to resolve these issues, and they can handle it. Trust them.
