Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

police report filing after a search warrant was issued and executed

After a search warrant is issued and performed and have charged the person in which the warrant was for. Does'nt a written police report have to be filed x amount of days after the search warrant was executed? I was to;d that they had five working days to file a written report explaining in detail what happened and what was taken from the beginning of entry till the time of exiting the premisses.

I appreciate your time and knowledge on this matter.

Thank You,

Re: police report filing after a search warrant was issued and executed

A search warrant is good for 5 days. 3 days plus day of issuance and day or return.

The return is what is filled out by the executing officers and shows what was found.

This is the only "required" report under the code of criminal procedure.
