Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

I have recently gotten off parole in the State of Texas, I was just curious if there is a waiting period or time line which i can get my rights back? Is there any way i can go about getting my rights back to have a firearm so i can at least be able to go hunting again? Can I apply for a Passport?

As a convicted felon, you cannot legally possess a firearm before the fifth anniversary of your release from confinement for the felony or your release from parole, whichever is later. In other words, once your parole is over, you have a five year waiting period before you can possess a firearm. Then, you can only possess a firearm at the residence where you live. That would exclude hunting. I know you will not like this answer, so I suggest you talk to an attorney face to face and see if you get the same answer. I believe you will.
