Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

after the search

The police entered my girlfriends house with a warrant to search. No name's were on the warrant...just the address. Drugs were found and she was arrested. This is her second offense. I live there too but wasn't home when it happened. Can they come after me?

Re: after the search

What do you mean by, "I live there too." Are you just and over night visitor or permenant visitor? Is your name on the lease, utility bills or cable or telephone bill for residence? Was alleged drugs found in room where you sleep or was your clothes nearby?

Do you have a criminal history involving drugs?

Answer: Yes, they can come after you as well, however, without a statement from your girlfriend or from you, the government case against you is weak. If alleged drugs were found in the bedroom were you slept or in some article of clothes belong to you, then the government case improves greatly.

You and your girlfriend should speak with an attorney, now.
