Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

I was sexually assaulted five and one half years ago in the city of Irving, Texas, by a man I met on city property...he and his family are threatening to kill me and my family...in fact, one of his "friends" attacked me a few days ago without provocation...(the perpetrator is a relative of a former mayor Dallas)...have asked for assistance through the State of Texas's Attorney General's Office, but was told there is no evidence of an assault or sexual assault having taken place (even though I retain physical evidence from both crimes)...need referral to local lawyer? (beginning to think I should go outside the area)...the perpetrator of the crimes has documented history of sexual abuse

Did you contact the local police to file charges? The statute of limitations on the sexual assault has not passed yet. (The AG's office is not the appropriate prosecuting authority.) You also need to keep any evidence of threats - those are crimes, too.
