Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Slander

My son was accused of stealing 3 gold rings at a residential remodeling job. What steps do we take to prove or fight this accusation? There were other contracters and workers at the home. Can we sue for slander?

Re: Slander

Based on what you have stated, it appears that your son has been charged with theft. Dependent upon the value of the alleged stolen items, the theft charges will vary from a misdemeanor to a felony. Generally, slander suits are difficult to proceed with; unless there are strong facts to indicate that the individual made the slanderous statement was doing it intentionally and with reckless disregard. You should seek the assistance of a local criminal defense law firm to assist your son with the any pending criminal charges. If my local law firm can assist you or your son with this legal issue or any other legal matter, please contact my paralegal Tina ([email protected]) to arrange for an initial consultation.
