Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

My son was given 8 years probation for a habitat crime, the stolen property was in the car. Also the vehicle he was driving was titled under both our names. Which in the citation it states he is the owner of he vehicle. He was mailed a citation notice of seizure and intended forfeiture. Know that his case is settled what will happen with the case on his vehicle? Is it normal procedure for them to ask to buy the car back?

Did you file an answer on the forfeiture?? You need to file an answer to protect any interest you have on the vehicle, otherwise they will default and keep the vehicle. Who is asking to buy the car back? The state? That doesn't sound normal unless they made a mistake on the forfeiture.
