Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

I was stabbed in a public disturbance involving 4 other people. Police took me to the hospital for treatment. Police questioned the 4 people who said I attacked them and received my injuries while they were defending themselves. None of them were injured. Police came to the hospital, arrested me and I was charged with 4 counts of aggravated assault. They were sent home with no charges made. Can I or should I ask to file a complaint? That is not what happened. I was attacked. Friend has texts messages from one of them saying they were going to find me and stab me.

You need to hire a lawyer as soon as possible to represent you since you are charged with a criminal offense. The lawyer can review the evidence / information that you have and, after reviewing the State's evidence, decide which is the best way to proceed on your behalf. You should NOT talk with a prosecutor or police officer about the situation, and they will not accept charges from you at this point anyway.
