Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Subpoena to appear as a witness
Hi, my friend is being accused of murder, and prosecutors have talked to me asking me questions about him just because i talked to the police. I have been subpoenaed to testify on the stand, its against my will. What can I do to fight having to appear? I am not involved in this and only knew the guy because he was a friend of mine. How is it that I have to be a witness and be asked questions on the stand against my will?
