Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Around Thanksgiving, my boyfriend was arrested in Kaufman for a traffic ticket that had gone to warrant in Flower Mound. His mother paid his ticket (it was around $1000) for Flower Mound in Kaufman and he was released. Now 6 months later, Flower Mound has reissued his warrant, claiming that his mother paid his bond and not his entire ticket, and that there was a court date for him that was set (which we never recieved) that was missed. Neither cities are at all cooperative in telling us what we need to do or providing us with any information other than that he has a warrant and he owes $1000. We don't have $1000 to give them and they are coming to our house every day looking for him. Please help!!

The money would be better spent to hire a lawyer to resolve the matter in the most expeditious way possible. The original Flower Mound ticket was compounded by a second offense, called Failure to Appear. These meant that he had 2 tickets and 2 warrants. Generally, when a cash bond is posted, it is forfeited to pay the ticket. Am not aware of any local citation that carries a $1000 fine.
