victim's rights at trial
Can any portion of a victim's record be supressed during a jury trial? We know the defendant's cannot be brought in. The defendant stabbed our son in the back 7 times and almost killed him. We would like to hire a lawyer to discuss presenting victim's rights to the DAO as we feel the DAO is conducting a less-than-vigorous prosecution because my son is a flawed victim (with no violent crimes; alcohol only). Based on what you have written, how is the DA's office conducting a less-than-vigorous prosecution? Conducting a non-vigorous prosecution is generally not the same as an issue associated with victim's rights.
