Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

I am a witness in a criminal case

First Hello, This is my question: I was involved as a witness to a sexual assault and indecency to a minor case..Separate victims.I provided a statement to the PD and was released without ANY charges against myself, but my associate was arrested for both charges. My witness statement along with the other 2 witness statements all conicide and are against my (former)associate.

My real question. He has made a phone call to me today and says that my wife can be (forced)to appear in court and that she will be used to discredit me. She is not even remotley involved in the case. Can she be supenaed (sp)??

He is saying his lawyer is telling him this, and he has been trying to get me to withdraw as a witness. Is this an idle threat, or is this something that I should worry about.

I would rather my wife not be involved in this case because of some unrelated events that happened earlier that night that involved a old friend. I know this is going to come out in the case even though it happened well before the accused crime.

Anybody can be subpoenaed to court. However, just because someone is subpoenaed does not mean necessarily that they will testify.
