Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Texas

I have been getting write ups at work and been given them any where from 4 days to 6 weeks after the fact of what the write up was for. I was under the impression that the employeer has 24 hours to hand me the write up for it to stand. These write ups started coming after another employee found out about what the present supervisor had done to me that violates company policy and labor laws for harrassment. How many hours does the employeer have to give an employee a write up? I am going in tomorrow to talk with the owners husband who works in the office to deal with the situation but I just need the clearification on the write ups.

Any rules about time limits and writeups will be in the employee handbook. Ask for a copy.
