Legal Question in DUI Law in Texas

I was arrested for possession of marijuana, less than 13 grams, and I agreed to do 6 months probation, my probation hasn't started and I'm having second thoughts about it, and I'm wondering if it would just be easier for me to do time served. Does anyone know how long I might be in there If i go through with it?

That is a Class B misdemeanor punishable by up to 180 days in jail. Did you agree to a deferred probation? If so, you get to keep your drivers license. You would also be eligible to file a petition for non-disclosure later that would help seal your record from most private entities. If you do time served, you lose your license, and you have a conviction on your record for the rest of your life. Same holds true for straight probation.

I would strongly suggest you do what you can to avoid a conviction.
