Legal Question in DUI Law in Texas

I was charged with a DWI, but the charge was was changed to "obstruction of a state high" in which I accepted and paid a fine. I now have a DWI conviction on my criminal record for pleading guilty to a lesser offense. How can this be? And what can I do about it? I am in Texas.

Your record should read that you were arrested for DWI, that the DWI was dismissed, and that you were convicted of obstruction of a state highway. If you are unable to resolve the problem with the clerk, you may need to hire a lawyer get the judgment corrected.
