Legal Question in DUI Law in Texas

DUI Passenger Laws

Dear Attorneys,

I was involved in a DUI incident with my friends

going back to our home. However, I was not

the driver and my friend was arrested for DUI. I

was passed out at that time, and I have no

recollection of the events that took place. The

Police took me the Hospital where I was treated

all night basically sleep to wear the alcohol off

from my system.

My Question is whether I am going to be

charged with any kind of misdemeanor or

offense crime. While I was in the Hospital, a cop

came by to drop my wallet and drivers license

off and did not say anything about the charges

against me.

So does this mean I am clean and off of any

charges?

Re: DUI Passenger Laws

they probably wont charge you with anything. If they do charge you with something, it would probably be something like public intoxication (a relatively minor infraction).

I wouldn't really worry about it.
