Legal Question in DUI Law in Texas

Dui

My son was charged with DUI in Tyler TX. He is currrently on parole in Louisiana for drug charges, he is due to be off parole 09/14/2008. He went to a court appearance in May and left the courtroom at break, he never appeared before the judge. He now has a bench warrant. He realizes that he has to turn himself in because of the bench warrant but how does this affect his parole in Louisiana? Or how does his parole in Louisiana affect him when he hires an attorney and turns himself in. We are really looking for the best advice, he is trying to get his life together and he made a really bad judgement and now I am trying to help him take care of his situation the best way possible. Can you give me some advice?

Re: Dui

I cannot tell you what to do in Texas, although he needs to turn himself in and get a good attorney. As far as his Parole in Louisiana, he needs to immediately tell his Parole officer about his problem. I am sure a condition of his Parole was not to break any laws, and probably not to use alcohol. His Parole should be his main worry.
