Any harm in going to trial ?

In Fort Worth, recieved 1st DWI. No lawyer gotten yet, but very winnable case, but if found guilty, with a reasonable judge, would the penealty be worse for going to trial versus taking the DA's first plea bargain offer ?

First, you need to get a "true" DWI lawyer and quickly, you have 15 days from the date of your arrest to request a hearing or your drivers license will be definately suspended forty (40) days from the date of your arrest. Second, you need to realize the DA is there to prosecute you and they do not care whether you take the plea or not. Finally, how do you know without hiring an attorney whether the case is defendable or not, plus an attorney in your area, that you hire will be able to answer your question, as to what a judge might or might not do.
