Understanding of wording
this person has two options to chose from
45 days confinement in Orange County Jail or
Probation:
1 year orange County Jail probated for 18 months.
What does the above sentence mean. It doesn't state confinement so I am confused.

It means that the person has the following choice:
1. Spend 45 days in the local jail. OR
2. Go on probation for 18 months. If he/she violates the probration, and a revocation is filed, he/she is looking at a sentence of 1 year in the county jail.
