Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

3rd Child Support Amendment Hearing Scheduled

I have my 3rd child support hearing scheduled in Sept. My ex-husband had his child support reduced due to having had a second child of which he just started paying to both parents within the past year. Since our last hearing (6-4-03)he has: 1.signed paperwork to terminate his rights to the other child. 2.He has started a job where he is making three times what he claimed making last year. What do I need to do to get the AG's office to take a look at this prior to our hearing in Sept? I've called the 800# and get no help. Your advise is greatly appreciated.

Re: 3rd Child Support Amendment Hearing Scheduled

Do you remember where you when when you first filed? Go back there. Bring cookies or doughnuts or coffee. Remember, these people have thousands of people they are serving and they are understaffed. Well forget the cookies and coffee, but don't forget the smiling, hopeful face. When we have hundreds of cases it helps to know who that nasty yeller is on the phone. The thing that really melts me is when I have a little 1X2 pic of the kid I am representing. In the alternative you can go to the law library and look up how to do it yourself, or hire an attorney.
