Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

If my 12 year old son does not want to be with the women his father left us for, is there something I can present to the court so that she cannot be with them when he is with his father? We are doing the divorce ourselves and my son has stated on several occasions that he does not want to be around her and that if his dad tries then he will walk home and I am trying to make sure he is protected. Thank you for your time.

Sincerly,

Perhaps you should not be doing the divorce yourselves. It is not necessarily in your best interest and you have no idea of how to deal with complicated child custody issues. Odds are that whatever you save now in attorney's fee you will end up paying for later. Good luck.
