Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

annulment foreign

I live in Vietnam with a woman [Viet] & child 9 months.Nov.99 had wedding party but no legal papers with her.I had a daughter with another woman in Taiwan Dec of 97.April of 2000 I was legaly married in the Taiwan courts with the Taiwanese and registered with the American Consulent. This wedding was suppose to be for 4-5 days for proper documents for my daughter followed by a divorce. She still has not given me the divorce to this date.We have never spent one night together since we were married.I tried my get a divorce or throw it out but lost the case in Taiwan. My legal wife in Taiwan is now sending letters to all governments and my company causing me much pain.I want this to end, however I do not want her to get any of my properties in the States. Can I get an annulment from this marriage?Or is divorce the only answer. She tricked me into the marriage and did not come forth with the divorce as agreed.I have never slept with her in 5 years. My job may be ending soon and I will need to come back to Texas to live.I would like to be able to really marry my wife in Vietnam and bring her and my son with me.

Re: annulment foreign

Once you get to TX, you can file for divorce on no-fault grounds, serve your wife in Taiwan and obtain a legal divorce. It's not as simple as it sounds because your documents must be translated and served in the language of Taiwan.
