If i have been awarded 70% disability from the Va, am i still required to pay child support and insurance in the state of texas?

Yes, you are. However, if your child receives VA benefits as a result of your disability the amount of those benefits is credited towards your child support obligation. There is a specific statute covering this in the Texas Family Code.
